Rwanda saw its bloodiest attack in over two decades when rebels raided a town on the border with the DR Congo in the evening hours of October 4th. The killings have sparked fear among residents of Kinigi, an area famed for mountain gorillas. I was in Kinigi for Deutsche Welle to speak with the people and learned: the attack awakens painful memories.
