There is no longer any doubt that the world of bits and bytes, the age of digitization, has a far-reaching impact on the film industry. In Africa, however, the transformation is many times more revolutionary. It enables filmmakers from the continent to catch up.
Via the Goethe Institut in Kigali I contributed an article to the magazine POLITIK&KULTUR of the German Council (Deutscher Kulturrat) and spent a very inspiring with two successful Rwandan filmmakers discussing the impact of digitization. The article is in German.
